A point to start
Juxtaposition, serendipity and the unbound book
My enamel artwork have colour palettes of deep indigo & royal blue, similar to cyanotype. Printing with the sun is a joyful and immediate method of capturing the surface pattern qualities that is found in nature. It can sometimes feel like an accessible next step by editing form and shape. This combined with my recent exploration into the unbound book form has allowed space for the playful juxtaposition of image- often photos & objects gathered from my walks. Experimenting with layering and revealing different configurations of pattern making and quality of line and is a reflection of my love for surface pattern design and a multi disciplinary printmaking approach to making and the design process.
